An exercise in constraint, "Montezuma's Revenge" is a radio program crafted from the sounds of diarrhea.

It is estimated that up to 5 billion cases of diarrhea occur each year worldwide. Up to 2 million of those cases are fatal. Diarrhea is the second leading cause of death of children under the age of 5 globally.

Using a variety of tape manipulation techniques, Ernestus Jiminy Chald transforms the sounds of diarrhea into a work of art. Like the alchemists of old who sought to transform the useless into the precious, Chald transmogrifies the repulsive sounds that issue from our backsides when we are afflicted with diarrhea into something beautiful.
